Specifications:
Operating Voltage: 7.4 V – 14.8 V (2S – 4S LiPo)
Flow Rate: Adjustable (via transmitter or controller)
Weight: Approx. 120 g
Connection: Standard servo-type signal input
The Pilot-RC Smoke Pump comes with two main connections:
Futaba Connector (Signal):
Connect this to your receiver or powerbox output channel that will control the smoke pump’s on/off function and flow rate.
XT60 Connector (Power):
Connect a 2S LiPo battery to the power input (voltage range: 6.8V–13.0V).
Important: Do not join the positive and negative wires from both power inputs to pull power directly from the receiver or powerbox.
Tubing Connections:
Connect the pump nipples to your smoke tank and exhaust tubes.
Pay close attention to the direction of flow, which is clearly indicated by an engraved arrow on the pump body.
All setup is done using a single channel on your radio transmitter.
–100% to –30% signal: Pump ON with intermittent smoke flow (higher % = more fuel flow)
–30% to +30% signal (center position): Pump OFF
+30% to +100% signal: Pump ON with continuous smoke flow (higher % = more fuel flow)
The built-in LED provides real-time feedback on pump status:
Solid Red: Power on – voltage incorrect (below 6.8V or above 13.0V)
Flashing Red: Overcurrent detected – check for blockage or jam
Solid Blue: Lost radio signal
Flashing Blue: Pump running – intermittent flow mode
Solid Green: Power on – voltage correct (6.8V–13.0V)
Flashing Green: Pump running – continuous flow mode
